4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

We use tools such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics (part of the Firebase platform, which also provides secure storage and app backend infrastructure), and RevenueCat to collect information about how our Services are used. These cookies help us understand usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the performance and functionality of our Site and App. Information collected is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
4.3 Advertising Cookies
In the free version of our App, we use Google AdMob to serve ads. We do not share your private journaling data or mental health information with AdMob.

- Speech-to-Text (Apple / Google): When you use the optional Speech-to-Text feature, your voice input is temporarily transmitted to Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) for conversion into text. These providers may use short-lived session cookies or device identifiers necessary to facilitate this process. Audio data is processed in real time, not stored, and not linked to your user account.
- Streamable Video Player: Videos embedded or streamed through Streamable may set their own cookies or similar technologies to maintain playback quality, measure performance, and prevent abuse. These cookies collect limited technical data (e.g., IP address, device type, playback metrics) and are governed by Streamable’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Use of these features is optional. You can disable microphone access or avoid playing embedded videos if you do not wish these third-party cookies to operate.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You have several options for managing cookies and similar technologies:
6.1 Browser Settings
Most web browsers accept cookies automatically but allow you to block or delete them through your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of our Site and Services. Disabling cookies or revoking microphone permissions may limit or disable Speech-to-Text and certain video-streaming functions.
6.2 Mobile Settings
You can manage ad preferences on your mobile device through your device settings. For example, you can reset your device’s advertising ID or limit ad tracking.
6.3 Google Ad Settings

6.4 Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature. There is currently no universal standard for responding to DNT signals, so we do not respond to them at this time.
7. California Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), cookies that share data with third parties for advertising may be considered a “sale” of personal information. MindScribber does not sell your personal information in the conventional sense and does not share your private journaling data with advertisers.
If we ever change this practice, we will update this Cookie Policy and provide you with a clear way to opt out of the sale of your information.
